Like most companies that have grown over the many years of hard work and honest business, Ewing Construction Co., Inc. (ECCI) got its start on a very small scale. In 1968, Wm. B. Ewing of Corpus Christi, Texas began his career in commercial construction working on additions and remodeling service stations for major oil companies until Hurricane Celia gave a need for other types of projects. Wm. B. Ewing serves on the Board of Directors.
In 1970, ECCI became an active member of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) and through the affiliation and support of this professional trade organization, the company gained higher levels of experience and knowledge, which resulted in positive business development and growth. Throughout the years ECCI has remained active in the AGC and adhered to the AGC’s motto of “Skill, Responsibility, and Integrity.” ECCI is currently a member of the San Antonio Chapter. Wm. B. Ewing has served as past President of the Texas Building Branch, elected to National Director and served on the National Surety and Risk Management Committee.

In 1997, the company began opening branch offices in San Antonio, McAllen, Houston, and Dallas. A strategy quickly developed and ECCI pursued a niche market in grocery stores and retail space. Today, the blend of projects that ECCI maintains is diversified. By Exceeding Clients Expectations, ECCI has developed strong relationships with their customers and are proud that 76% of their work is repeat business. ECCI’s 40 years of success is based on its reputation and dedication to their clients.
